It all started about 10 years ago (2012) when we decided to buy some fish for our daughter's 5th birthday.
We soon discovered that with a growing tank of fish and limited space, something had to be done, we were faced with two options:
1. Sell some of them.
2. Buy a bigger tank.
Knowing our daughter, the first option was totally off the table, so option 2, we had to get a bigger tank.
Getting a bigger tank led to another dilemma, they started to breed and now we needed another tank for the fry. Like so many other aquatic hobbyist we found ourselves visiting every pet shop, as there might be that one fish we must have. Fast forward a few years and we can proudly say that we are the owners of six tanks!
Always striving for spectacular fish, with amazing color we tested numerous products with vitamins, minerals and food, all of which promised color enhancing, added vitamins and minerals to name a few. Yes, there are plenty of food available on the market and we do use them, but we still found that the fish just never seemed to reach their full potential when it came to coloration.
